a beautiful crisp morning outside. the leaves are changing colours and the air is much cleaner and colder. i had a neighbour send me a link, yesterday, that is a petition to get mayor olivia chow to do more for the jewish community. i didn’t sign it but told my neighbour that i needed to do research on the situation before signing. he said, “okay.”
after doing some research i have made the decision NOT to sign the petition as I DO NOT feel that olivia chow is neglecting the jewish community. she is neglecting the poor and the mentally challenged and, yet, my neighbour doesn’t see that or doesn’t seem to care about that.
the petition stated that chow is allowing protests by hamas and hezbollah and other terrorist organizations to go on without any regard for the safety of the jewish people. the petition that he wanted me to sign also stated that “there is a rise in anti-semitism in the city and the jewish community are afraid.”
so what is anti-semitism?
is anti-semitism having a different opinion on gaza and the middle east conflicts than the jewish population?
is anti-semitism protesting to end the horrific atrocities going on in gaza and, now, lebanon?
is anti-semitism voicing your disdain for netanyahu and his puppets?
the media is a dangerous tool to spread constant propaganda.
human lives are irrelevant in the political game of horror and destruction.
children…innocent children massacred.
no homes.
no food.
no mom.
no dad.
diseases.
no water.
such horror.
such destruction.
so why am i supposed to sign this petition again?
am i anti-semitic for not signing the petition?
so much hate in this world and I, personally, love everyone. everyone except those who have consciously and deliberately done harm to me or my family and political leaders who kill at will.
I AM NOT ANTI-SEMITIC.
I AM A HUMAN BEING WHO WANTS RESOLUTIONS TO NEEDLESS WARS AND NEEDLESS DEATHS.
